Myanmar Cyclone Relief

Through our network of over 35,000 charitable organizations, and through our partnerships with other leading mission-driven organizations, such as GlobalGiving – the Aidmatrix Foundation and our partners are providing opportunities for donors to support efforts led by large, international relief agencies as well as localized groups that work solely in the affected areas. Donations made on this site will be directed to these partners. Donors can select from the list of agencies when making a donation.

According to CNN.com, the death toll in Myanmar is estimated now at up to 100,000 people and "the U.N. estimated up to a million could be homeless." Right now the need is greatest for clean drinking water, food and fuel. It is critical that relief supplies be received within the upcoming days in order to stave off disease and ultimately starvation.

Cash donations will allow the nonprofits to quickly purchase the supplies they need most either from their partners or within the region – all which helps save time and money for transportation. Donors can specify to which nonprofit they wish to give. To make a cash donation click here.

In-kind donations are also welcome and will be offered directly to the nonprofits. The nonprofits will then review and decide if they can accept the donation and/or arrange for transport. Donors will be contacted directly by the nonprofits if the offer is accepted. There may be some delays as transportation is moving slowly, but the need is great for both short and long-term recovery and our partners still request that the public not be dissuaded from giving.
