Together we will transform how businesses leverage their employees to make a lasting impact on society by engaging, inspiring and mobilizing professional talent to build the capacity of non-profit organizations to better meet community needs. A Billion + Change creates business value through strategic alignment of philanthropy and business goals, providing a platform for enhanced internal collaboration, leadership development and community visibility.

Our goal: To support the introduction of a workforce development program that will ultimately transform the lives of 10,000 people.

Aidmatrix, with corporate partners in Central/Eastern Europe, will pilot the training concepts that will serve as the foundation for scalable global Centers of Excellence that will equip participants with employable “Skills to Succeed” in their local economies.

Initial funding was from AT&T. Our pilot program is in Slovakia serving as one of the founding sites. Our two initial partners in this Center of Excellence are: The Pontis Foundation and Aptech Europe.

The Pontis Foundation is one of the largest grantmaking and operational foundations in Slovakia. They encourage individuals and businesses to take responsibility for those in need and for the world around them.

The Pontis Foundation undertakes programming in three basic areas:

  • strengthening of the NGOs
  • corporate philanthropy and corporate social responsibility
  • democratization and development abroad

    • Aptech Europe is a non-profit organization providing lifelong education in field of information technologies. They offer long-term IT trainings from 3 months to 2 years.

    Aptech Europe training portfolio also includes short-term courses on core technologies, widely used applications, soft skills and customized programs for companies, governments, and individuals.
